Co-Director of “Sergi & Irina”, Àlex Tejedor, at the opening gala of ‘FICVI – Festival Internacional de Curtmetratges de Vila-seca’
Yesterday, October 16, I had the privilege of being able to attend the opening gala of the 6th Edition of the ‘FICVI – Vila-Seca International Curtmetratges Festival’ 2021, and “Sergi & Irina” had the honor and privilege of being the the first film to be screened in this edition, so in a way, we fired the starting gun. I want to first of all thank its director Josep Varo who received me with open arms and welcomed me so kindly, and I extend this thanks to the rest of the Festival team who went out of their way to make me feel very comfortable. It’s a pleasure to attend a film celebration of this human and professional quality, and the comedic duo who received us at the Auditori Josep Carreras and who entertained the evening was endearing and very funny, and then, moderated by Roger, I was given the opportunity, along with the other assistant filmmaker, Xose Zapata, (Director of the Animation Short “The Monkey”) to talk a little about what the attendees were about to see. I wish the Festival a long and prosperous life and I hope to be lucky, if all goes well, to participate again in future editions. Let’s go FICVI!
